KATIE HUNTER

FOUNDER + MANAGING DIRECTOR

As a group safety manager at one of the UK’s biggest mills, responsible for over 40 manufacturing sites across the UK, Katie was all too aware of the gap in the consultancy market for hands-on site safety support for construction projects. Frustrated at the lack of full-service offering available, Katie wanted to take her health and safety skills and experience to establish a service that would not only advise clients, but also provide the hands-on practical support their projects required.

Hunter Safety Solutions was established in 2012, managing safety for some of the UK’s biggest brands. She quickly realised the need to expand and four years later, with continued growing demand, the business now employs over 35 people and has successfully managed the health and safety of some of the most complex and dangerous construction projects.

Katie’s undeniable passion for safety and tenacious drive for value-added delivery has enabled the business to grow through repeat business and recommendation alone, something which she is immensely proud.  

 

 

KIRSTY Carroll

OPERATIONS DIRECTOR

Managing a team of 30 health and safety managers, Kirsty is experienced in both health and safety leadership and management along with facilities management in food manufacturing and corporate environments. Result-driven with a hands-on approach to leadership and engagement Kirsty focuses on delivering improved sustained results, whilst maintaining an excellent standard of customer service. 

Her ability to manage the operational focus whilst influencing and shaping strategic planning alongside her situational leadership has resulted in cost savings and protection of assets for a multitude of organisations. Experienced with lean integration principles and decisive implementation, Kirsty guides the team to deliver projects confidently in multi-disciplinary environments. 

 

 

BERNIE LANAGHAN

CONTRACTS MANAGER + SENIOR CDM LEAD

A high-performance, internationally experienced senior manager, Bernie has 10 years of military experience which progressed to operations and project manager positions in hostile environments. Combining advance knowledge in formulating operational strategies and objectives while engaging support from all stakeholders enabled Bernie to successfully achieve the delivery of complex construction projects. His acute eye for detail aids his ability to implement sustainable solutions for increased operational performance and productivity. Resourceful and results orientated, Bernie works in partnership with our clients to formulate complex documentation with an adaptable approach to corporate accountability, budget planning and ensuring projects are completed on time.

Bernie manages some of our most complex high-risk projects, successfully leading and motivating our team and fostering strong relationships between the client and contractors.
